Earlier this month, Mr. Martin Torrijos, President of Panama, visited May 2 , 2007 Dear Panama First Alert Reader, I recently received this update from Boquete Country Club, one of the nicest new projects in the extremely popular Boquete market. They not only update us on progress at the project, but also have very interesting piece of news for anyone interested in infrastructure development in the area. Take a look. Boquete Country Club keeps moving forward at a very fast pace. The first condominium building and town house complex is well underway with cement slabs completed up to the third and final level. They have also begun construction for the second condominium building and town house complex, already completing the foundations and cement slabs for the first level. We’ve also seen great pictures of the Equestrian Center; the roof has been placed and soon the two tennis courts will begin to be built. Earlier this month, Mr. Martin Torrijos, President of Panama, visited Boquete to approve the initiation of works for the future Highland Road, to be called “Ruta Sur.” This road Construction began only a couple of days after the President’s visit. “The future Ruta Sur makes our location a very strategic one,” says Alexandra Henríquez from Boquete Country Club. “BCC enjoys a prime location , sitting on the first kilometer of the road. This road is currently being reconstructed and extended to Potrerillos Arriba to connect with Cuesta de Piedra, just below the towns of Volcán and Cerro Punta, facilitating easier travel around the highland areas of Chiriquí. What is now a two-hour drive between Boquete and Volcan/Cerro Punta will be cut to 25 minutes.” Have you ever wished that you were in the right place at the right time to get an early-in prices on a project that will soon have a Golden Corridor passing right by the front gate? This is it. Nestled among pine groves, atop a 3,600-foot-high mountain plateau, you will find Boquete Country Club, what must be one of Boquete’s most exclusive highland developments. The club’s infrastructure is already complete. All facilities are underground, and high-speed Internet access is available. The community will feature a clubhouse including a restaurant-bar, open-air pool and games area, sauna, Jacuzzi, gymnasium, and spa. And for horse lovers, a key feature of Boquete Country Club will be its world-class equestrian center inspired by the developer’s lifelong passion for the breeding and showing of Peruvian Paso horses. The equestrian center will include 30 stalls with ample room for further expansion, and will be available to any resident. Equestrian center fees will only be assessed to those using the facility.
